As the world continues to adapt to seemingly ever-changing business environments, so do the ways in which we train and educate the workforce. Specifically, within the last decade, emerging technologies have drastically altered the way we learn and process information, as well as where it can be done. In this brief blog post, we’re going to help provide a concrete definition of what emerging technologies are, and we’ll look at some examples of those being used to train professionals today and in the future.

Personality assessments, once dreaded and often feared when seeking a job, are making a surprising comeback in today’s workforce. One of the most popular personality assessments that businesses often use is the DiSC. This assessment goes back to the 400’s B.C., when it was originally developed by Empodocles and used elements of fire, earth, air, and water. Over time, these were tweaked and adjusted to the four core categories that we see today (PeopleKeys.com, 2019). As we turn the corner to the second decade of the 21st century, the DiSC assessment is being updated yet again as it transitions now into the Everything DiSC model.
Take a moment and reflect on tech leadership in our society; what is one of the first things that comes to your mind?
